Singaporean sneaker customizer SBTG continues his Varsity Bones series with a new lineup of extensive custom made sneakers.The “Thriller” Collection, obviously inspired by Michael Jackson, features a Nike Blazer silhouette, outfitted in a wild design motif incorporating distinct details synonymous with SBTG fame. The B.R.M.C Dunk Hi plays off a motorcycle theme, with a dramatic composition of biker elements. Both kicks will be released on October 5th, 2009 via the Royalefam website. As expected, each style will see extremely limited production numbers.

Well, I got an email from my boy Melvin over at Royalefam.com with some teasers of some new sneakers thats gong to be dropping soon from SBTG. SBTG(Sabotage) supplies the streetwear culture with some high end custom sneakers, graphics and apparel. Check out the teasers after the break along with the sneaker details. Continuing the legacy of Black Mamba, the 1- off sneaker specially made for MVP Kobe Bryant himself.

Produced in a way that pays homage to the 1985 style of color blocking sneakers. Blue Devil features stealth rival camo and black panther
print on the rear. This low top version will be made in home and away versions.

Souped-up Cruisers, biker jackets, customized leather, and classic motorcycle culture. The look of Black Rebel Motorpsycho Club consists
of locks and chains, denim rivets, gang patches, zippers,quilted linings, and animal fur.

The answer might involve a lot of cut and sew with studs, clean lines for a look of luxury, geometric shapes, jacket collar flaps, quilted
satin, and a zipper baseline for punch.

With a design principle centered around rock n roll, rebellion and disregard for the rules, we have all come to expect a whole new level of modifications to every shoe he produces.

More recently, we wrote about a custom he collaborated with Supra on, and well, how few have ventured to do such a custom shoe. Now, we bring you news of another model in which really lives up the standards set by the man himself. Introducing SBTG’s twist on the iconic Chuck Taylor Hi Top.

As an avid follower of the craftsmanship of SBTG, seeing these kicks compelled me to write about them. I loved the Varsity Bones collection and salivated over OPIVY dunks of recent vintage, but nothing touches my heart like the Chucks.

Totally embracing the punk/rebel culture of past, the Sex & Violence Chucks come in two colurways: The Leopard and Army. Complete with studded panels, rips along the main body, grunge style midsoles/toecaps, it was love at first sight for me when I saw these. Finishing the whole shoe off were custom lace zippers and frankenstein like stitching. How can you not think back to the days of the Ramones and The Who after seeing these sick kicks?

After the emergence of the Sex & Violence Chucks, what now will SBTG wow us with next? We can only wait and see as he and his crew do their magic on new kicks to be unleashed on the sneaker world. Saturday September 5th will be the Official launch of the first time ever collaboration with 3x DMC Champion INQUISITIVE at the Butter Factory In Singapore.

Our very own local boys, DJ Inquisitive and SBTG have come together and produced a very special limited-edition sneaker honoring the late and great Michael Jackson.

“MJ was the reason I got interested in music in the first place.” says DJ Inquisitive.
“When Leon first approached me to collaborate on a custom design, I searched for a theme to represent his passion in music. Then when the news suddenly broke about MJ’s tragic departure, I knew we would pay tribute to him since both of us grew up listening to him.” explains SBTG.

The “Thriller” custom converse is inspired by the legendary Thriller video and its theme of unleashing the beast within us, featuring SBTG’s new claw-rip design.
